Our Work is Centered on Providing Comprehensive Care For Women

At Kharis Haven, our work is centered on providing comprehensive care for women during one of the most critical periods of their lives—pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatal recovery. Our services focus on three core pillars: Health, Education, and Restoration (H.E.R.).

Health

We support women in safe, comfortable environments through our Mother Homes. These homes offer a peaceful, welcoming space for women two weeks before and two weeks after their delivery dates, ensuring they have access to care and preventing complications that could arise due to distance or lack of facilities. During their stay, mothers can participate in various health and wellness classes, including pregnancy exercises, breastfeeding support, and hygiene education.

Education

Education is a vital part of our program. We offer workshops on parenting, family planning, and mental health, equipping mothers with the knowledge and skills they need for their journey ahead. We also provide business mentorship and social skills training, empowering mothers to achieve economic independence if they wish to pursue these avenues.

Restoration

We are passionate about giving women a second chance after traumatic childbirth experiences. Through partnerships with external agencies, we offer access to treatment plans for women affected by conditions like fistulas. Our goal is to help them regain their health, dignity, and hope.
